Invisalign®

Invisalign® uses a series of clear, comfortable, and removable aligners to straighten your teeth for adults. Now, Invisalign® is also available for teenagers, Invisalign Teen®, where it allows for continuation of normal process of teeth eruption. Because they are invisible no one can tell you are wearing Invisalign®!!

During your treatment you can eat and drink what you want because not only are the aligners invisible but also removable to make eating less difficult. Plus, brushing and flossing are less of a hassle as well, which makes it a great option for frequent snackers. The aligners have no metal to cause mouth abrasions or sore spot. Hence, they are more comfortable and esthetic. The Invisalign® treatment has many advantages over traditional braces. For one, it has the ability to push the needed regular office visits further apart based on the need of the patient. So, instead of the usual 6-8 weeks interval office visits they can be set further apart to once every 12 weeks. Hence, it leads to taking less time away from work and/or school. Another advantage is for patients with sign/symptoms of TMD (Jaw joint pressure/clicking). Due to its inherent splinting affect it can alleviate loading and the pressure off the TMJ’s (jaw joints). So, at the same time that the teeth are set in their straight position the jaw joints are protected by the bite splinting affect (separation of the bite by a medium). Dr. Rashidi also recommends Invisalign® for patients who may have a hard time maintaining good oral hygiene due to the present predispositions. This makes Invisalign® a great choice for teenagers. The fact that Invisalign® aligners are removable it makes it great for musicians who play wind instruments, actors/actresses, athletes, models and other adult professionals.
