"I will be the first one to admit that I can be a very tough patient to deal with. Unfortunately, that’s because I have had multiple previous bad dental experiences, which has made me the way I am.. super picky! After two rounds of orthodontic treatment, as an adult, I was still not happy with my bite and was truly convinced my debilitating headaches and ringing in the ears was due to my bite. To my dismay, all the orthodontists I consulted with would tell me my bite looks good and would refer me to someone else! I clench and grind and they all believed that was the reason behind everything... So every time I would pay for a new shape and color nightguard (only God knows how many of those I was given). Then, Dr. Rashidi came into my life... he was recommended to me... when I walked into his office it was very warm and inviting atmosphere. Having discussed my situation with his office manager previously on the phone she explained how Dr. Rashidi’s advance education certification is in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics... and not only in orthodontics!!! Then when he walked in, as the saying goes, “He had me at hello.” He was very sociable, caring and courteous. After he completed his examination he explained how my jaw position needs to be changed and then my teeth reset to that new position... Basically, my teeth were straight, but my jaw position was wrong!!! He didn’t say it, but in my mind I knew why my previous treatments had failed! Due to my fibromyalgia it is hard for me to sit in the reclined position for too long... and sometime too much light and sound bothers me. Dr. Rashidi was very understanding and accommodating to my needs throughout the treatment. He always took his time at explaining everything to me and was very supportive around every corner and junction of the way... and had a way of putting me at ease. He was brave to take on my treatment and as a result he changed my life... back then, I didn’t imagine a life without daily headaches and/or ringing in the ears! I am a whole new person because of him. Thank you very much Dr. Rashidi for the kind of person you are, both as an individual and as a professional. I will be your advocate for life."
